The Broome International Airport Marathon returns to the iconic sands of Cable Beach, Western Australia, on Sunday, 5 July 2026. This scenic marathon features an out-and-back course beginning and ending in front of the Surf Club at Cable Beach, following hard-packed sand along the shore with a turnaround at Gantheaume Point.
Participants can choose from three distances: the full marathon (42.2 km, consisting of four laps), the half marathon (21.1 km, two laps), or the 10.5 km dash (one lap). The event's date is carefully selected to coincide with low tide, ensuring firm sand conditions for optimal running performance.
