Description

Event Date:

The Dusk till Dawn 12hr Team Challenge on Saturday, 20 September 2025 is a unique overnight running event held at the iconic Australian War Memorial in Canberra, ACT.

Teams of four runners compete to cover the greatest distance within 12 hours, starting at dusk and finishing at dawn. The format is flexible, allowing teams to strategize their laps as they wish, provided that at least one member is on the course at all times. Teams can choose to run solo laps, in pairs, or rotate frequently according to their preferred approach.

The course is an approximately 2.1-kilometre loop winding through the Australian War Memorial precinct and Sculpture Garden. The route is partially illuminated by street lighting, and headlamps will be supplied to all participants to ensure safety during the night.

Throughout the event, teams receive full support including course marshals, hydration stations, and food to maintain energy levels.

Participation in this event helps raise funds to provide financial assistance to current and former Defence personnel, making it not only a test of endurance but also a meaningful contribution to those who have served.
