The McLaren Vale Marathon takes place on Sunday, 31 May 2026, offering a scenic run through the vineyards set against the stunning Southern Mount Lofty Ranges. Located in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia, the event features four certified distances—all run entirely on sealed roads—providing runners with spectacular views of the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Fleurieu Coast.
Race options include the Marathon (two laps), Half Marathon (one lap), 10km, and 5km courses, each officially certified by AIMS and World Athletics. A children’s dash of approximately 1km is also available for younger participants.
Beyond the races, the event offers a full day of family-friendly activities including local markets, cellar doors, food trucks, and kids’ entertainment, making it a celebration for runners and spectators alike.
