About this event

The Adelaide Trail Runners Summer Series is an annual five-race trail running event held from November to March across South Australia[1]. Race 1 kicks off on Sunday, 22 November 2026, at a location to be confirmed[1]. Each race offers multiple course options to suit different abilities: a short course (8–10km), a medium course (13–15km), and a long course (18–22km)[1][3]. A non-competitive Fun 5 (approximately 5–6km) is also available for new runners or youth aged 10 years and older[1][2]. To be eligible for series awards, participants must start a minimum of four out of the five races[1][3]. Runners earn points for finishing in the top five of their age group and the top five overall for their chosen distance[1][3]. Only the best four scores count for the final standings, with the fifth race carrying a 50% bonus point multiplier[3]. Overall distance winners receive medals at the end-of-season presentations, and age group medals are awarded only to male and female winners[3]. Non-binary entrants are welcome to participate, though no prizes are offered for those categories[3]. Minimum entry ages are 15 years for the long course, 12 years for the medium course, and 10 years for the short course, with exceptions possible by prior permission[3][4]. Starting a race counts toward the minimum four-race requirement even if a runner later withdraws due to injury, though no points are earned for that race[3][5]. Participants deemed to abuse this rule in an unsportsmanlike manner may be disqualified from series awards at the Race Directors' discretion[5]. Age group categories for the 2025–26 series use 10-year increments (e.g., 20–29, 30–39)[3][4]. Age is determined based on the runner's age on 11 January 2026[3]. Prizes are awarded only in male and female categories, and entrants must register in the category of their gender at birth to be eligible[3]. Entries are open, and a five-race series entry option is available[3]. The series includes a new event called the Surf Run, which will be the final race in March 2026[3]. The opening event at Black Hill will also mark the club's fifth anniversary[4]. This course has previously hosted State Teams Championships and is known for its popularity[2]. p.Adelaide Trail Runners Summer Series is an annual five-race trail running event held from November to March across South Australia[1]. p.Race 1 kicks off on Sunday, 22 November 2026, at a location to be confirmed[1]. p.Each race offers multiple course options to suit different abilities: a short course (8–10km), a medium course (13–15km), and a long course (18–22km)[1][3]. p.A non-competitive Fun 5 (approximately 5–6km) is also available for new runners or youth aged 10 years and older[1][2]. p.To be eligible for series awards, participants must start a minimum of four out of the five races[1][3]. p.Runners earn points for finishing in the top five of their age group and the top five overall for their chosen distance[1][3]. p.Only the best four scores count for the final standings, with the fifth race carrying a 50% bonus point multiplier[3]. p.Overall distance winners receive medals at the end-of-season presentations, and age group medals are awarded only to male and female winners[3]. p.Non-binary entrants are welcome to participate, though no prizes are offered for those categories[3]. p.Minimum entry ages are 15 years for the long course, 12 years for the medium course, and 10 years for the short course, with exceptions possible by prior permission[3][4]. p.Starting a race counts toward the minimum four-race requirement even if a runner later withdraws due to injury, though no points are earned for that race[3][5]. p.Participants deemed to abuse this rule in an unsportsmanlike manner may be disqualified from series awards at the Race Directors' discretion[5]. p.Age group categories for the 2025–26 series use 10-year increments (e.g., 20–29, 30–39)[3][4]. p.Age is determined based on the runner's age on 11 January 2026[3]. p.Prizes are awarded only in male and female categories, and entrants must register in the category of their gender at birth to be eligible[3]. p.Entries are open, and a five-race series entry option is available[3]. p.The series includes a new event called the Surf Run, which will be the final race in March 2026[3]. p.The opening event at Black Hill will also mark the club's fifth anniversary[4]. p.This course has previously hosted State Teams Championships and is known for its popularity[2].
