About this event

The AusCycling MTB National Series — Downhill Round 2 brings national-level mountain bike racing to Kooralbyn Valley in Queensland from 26 to 28 February 2027.

Hosted by Kooralbyn Valley MTB Club, the round is part of the 2027 AusCycling Downhill National Series, which travels across Australia during the summer racing season. Riders will compete on challenging downhill terrain in a high-speed test of technical skill, line choice, control and courage.

The event welcomes elite, junior and masters competitors, providing a national racing platform for riders across multiple age and experience categories. Friday marks the opening day of the listed event period, with the competition continuing throughout the weekend.

Set in Queensland’s Scenic Rim, Kooralbyn is surrounded by rolling hills, bushland and mountain ranges, creating an atmospheric backdrop for a full weekend of mountain bike action. Spectators can watch riders tackle the course and experience the energy of one of Australia’s premier downhill racing series.
