Bargara Pub 2 Club is a community open-water swimming event along the scenic Bargara coastline in Queensland’s Coral Coast region. The course connects the Bargara area with Nielson Park Beach and the Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club, offering swimmers a memorable ocean challenge in clear coastal waters.
Swimmers can choose between a 1-mile course and a 2-mile course. The 1-mile swim travels north along the coastline to the finish at Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club, while the 2-mile course continues south before turning back north to the club. Course markers remain on swimmers’ left.
A 100-metre Turtle Splash event is also available for younger swimmers aged 9 to 12, providing an accessible introduction to open-water swimming in a supportive community setting.
Whether tackling the shorter distance or taking on the full 2-mile challenge, participants can expect a coastal morning combining fitness, ocean swimming and community spirit in Bargara.
