The Cape Paterson Aquathon is a dynamic swim and run event held on Sunday, 18 January 2026 at Cape Paterson, Victoria. As a key race in the annual Bass Coast Series, it starts with a 400m surf swim at First Surf Beach, followed by a 4.4km run through the scenic township of Cape Paterson.
Participants begin the race with an ocean swim, then transition by ascending the stairs to the designated area before embarking on the run. The event welcomes competitors aged 14 and above and features various categories including juniors, adults, masters, and team relays.
Registration opens on race day from 8:00am to 9:30am at the Cape Paterson Surf Life Saving Club, where athletes receive their timing bracelets, swim caps, and race packs. The race commences at 10:00am, with results and presentations held approximately 60 to 90 minutes after completion. This exciting event supports local volunteer lifesaving efforts and offers prizes for top finishers.
