About this event

The Wild Dog Backyard Ultra is an exhilarating "Last One Standing" endurance challenge on the scenic trails of Lardner Park, starting Friday, 26 June 2026.

Runners start a 6.71km loop on the hour, every hour, continuing until they withdraw or miss the cutoff. The winner is the final runner to complete a solo lap within the time limit after all others have failed; otherwise, it results in a DNF.

This undulating course winds through farmland, trails, and open spaces at the expansive Lardner Park venue, renowned for equestrian events and just one hour's drive from Melbourne. Brutal yet beautiful, it tests mental grit and persistence in the lure of one more lap.
