The Wild Dog Backyard Ultra is a challenging "Last One Standing" endurance event held on the scenic trails of Lardner Park, near Warragul, Victoria, on 26 June 2026.
Participants run a 6.71 km loop every hour, on the hour, continuing until they either choose to tap out or fail to complete a lap within the cut-off time. The race concludes when only one runner remains; this final competitor must complete one additional solo lap within the time limit to be declared the winner. Failure to do so results in a Did Not Finish (DNF) status.
The course features an undulating terrain through farmland, trails, and open spaces within Lardner Park, a renowned venue known for equestrian events and festivals. Located just one hour's drive from Melbourne, the event offers both a physically demanding challenge and a beautiful natural setting.
