About this event
City-Bay Fun Run is Adelaide’s signature mass participation running event, bringing together runners and walkers of all ages and abilities for a memorable point-to-point course from the city to the sea. The 2026 event takes place on Sunday 20 September, with four distances to choose from: 3km, 6km, 12km and a half marathon.
The route begins in the Adelaide CBD and finishes at Glenelg Beach, creating one of South Australia’s most recognisable road-race experiences. The 12km course is the classic City-Bay journey, while the longer and shorter options make the event accessible to a wide range of participants, from first-timers to experienced runners.
City-Bay Fun Run is known for its lively finish-line atmosphere, with a race village, entertainment, refreshments and finisher medals for participants. The event also has a strong community focus, with all profits supporting charity.
The 2026 edition is a great opportunity to be part of one of Adelaide’s best-loved running events, whether you are chasing a personal best, running with friends, or simply enjoying the atmosphere along the way.
