About this event
Dusk to Dawn 6/12 is an overnight, time-based ultra held beside Patawalonga Creek in Glenelg North. Entrants can choose between six-hour and 12-hour events, with both distances starting at 6.00 pm on Saturday, 28 November 2026 and continuing into the following morning.
The course is an AIMS-measured 2.56464-kilometre loop along the riverside, close to Glenelg’s beachfront and harbour. It is exceptionally flat, with no recorded elevation gain, making it suitable for runners targeting distance, endurance or a steady-paced overnight challenge.
Runners complete as many laps as possible within their chosen time limit. The direction of travel changes every three hours, helping to vary the running experience during the event.
A single aid station operates at the start and finish area, which participants pass at the end of every lap. Supplies include water, sports drink, soft drink, snacks, lollies and first-aid support, with additional cold refreshments and food available during the event.
Bib collection is available on the day from 30 minutes before the event begins, followed by a race briefing 15 minutes before the start. The start and finish area is located at the end of Anderson Avenue, near Glenelg Baseball Club.
The event is AIMS-certified and IAU-labelled, and every finisher receives a medal. With its riverside setting, palm-lined surroundings and flat, measured loop, Dusk to Dawn 6/12 offers an accessible and scenic introduction to timed ultra running, as well as a demanding test for experienced endurance athletes.
