About this event
Eastern Triathlon Series Race 2 is a low-cost, beginner-friendly triathlon event in Maroubra, offering participants an accessible introduction to multisport racing alongside opportunities for more experienced athletes to compete for podium honours.
The event is based at Heffron Park and uses the park’s criterium course for the cycling leg, with a pool swim at the nearby leisure centre and a relatively flat run through the surrounding parkland. The closed-road circuit features smooth surfaces and technical corners, adding a skills-focused element to the bike course.
Race distances are designed for a range of abilities, including an Enticer triathlon with a 400 m swim, 10 km bike and 2.5 km run, and a Sprint triathlon with a 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run. A Kids Triathlon is also offered as part of the series.
Prize money is available to the top three finishers in each distance, with awards of $150 for first place, $100 for second and $50 for third. The series is organised by the BRAT Club, which has been running triathlon events since 1985.
