About this event
The Explore Worldwide NSW Triathlon Club Championships return to Forster on Saturday 20 February 2027, bringing clubs from across New South Wales together for a major weekend of team-based racing on Forster Beach and the surrounding Forster-Tuncurry area.
Competitors race for their clubs, with results contributing to divisional honours and Interclub League points rather than individual rankings alone. NSW clubs are placed into five divisions to create fairer competition between clubs of similar size, with the 2027 divisions scheduled to be released in February.
The program includes TriKidz and enticer events, super sprint, sprint and standard-distance triathlons, providing race opportunities for children, newcomers, experienced athletes and club teams. The standard-distance race is a NSW state championship event and a World Triathlon Age Group qualifying event.
With an ocean swim, an energetic club atmosphere and a course described as both scenic and challenging, the championships combine serious competition with a strong community focus. A post-race celebration forms part of the event’s appeal, making it a highlight of the NSW triathlon season.
Entry is subject to the event’s membership requirements, with AusTriathlon and NSW Triathlon Standard or Premium membership for the 2026–27 season required to secure a place on the start line. Entries are scheduled to open on 18 August.
