About this event

EXSS Sprint Duathlon returns to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre on Sunday, 18 October 2026, bringing a fast, multi-discipline race day to the water’s edge in Champion Lakes, Western Australia.

This event features a sprint duathlon format of 5km run, 20km bike and 2.5km run, with additional shorter race options also available on the day for different age groups and experience levels.

The sprint distance is the featured State Championships race, giving competitors the chance to contest WA title honours on a course designed for speed and strong racing.

Race day begins early, with registration and transition opening in the morning and the first starts scheduled shortly after. The course uses a looped layout at Champion Lakes, making it a great spectator-friendly event with multiple chances to see athletes out on course.

Suitable for seasoned duathletes as well as newer participants looking for a challenging but accessible race, the EXSS Sprint Duathlon combines competition, community atmosphere and the appeal of a well-known WA racing venue.
