The Greater Geelong Junior Triathlon returns to Eastern Beach, Geelong, on Saturday, 24 October 2026. Hosted by JK Training, the event welcomes junior athletes of all abilities, from first-time competitors to experienced young triathletes.
Competitors can choose from three race categories:
- Enticer: 300-metre ocean swim, 10-kilometre cycle and 2-kilometre run.
- Intermediate: 500-metre ocean swim, 15-kilometre cycle and 4-kilometre run.
- Senior: 750-metre ocean swim, 20-kilometre cycle and 5-kilometre run.
The event provides an opportunity for young athletes to experience the challenge of swimming, cycling and running in a supportive race environment. It also serves as a Victorian school selection event for the 2027 National Schools Championships, adding a pathway opportunity for eligible competitors.
Participants should prepare to complete all three disciplines and the transitions between them. A wetsuit is required for the swim, and competitors must provide their own bike and helmet.
