The Hamilton Island Hilly Half Marathon on Sunday, 3 May 2026, offers a challenging and scenic trail running experience through the island’s undulating interior. The main event is a rugged 21.1 km course featuring steep uphill and downhill sections along roads, fire trails, and walking tracks, testing both individual runners and teams.
Participants can choose to compete solo or in a 2- or 3-person relay, with each relay member covering approximately 7 km. There are also kid-friendly races with three different distance options on a flat, fast course, ensuring a race for all ages and abilities.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Hamilton Island’s natural beauty, this event combines endurance, teamwork, and family fun in a unique island setting.
