About this event

The HOKA Runaway Sydney Half Marathon is a city running event that takes runners through the heart of Sydney’s CBD in the cooler conditions of autumn. The half marathon covers 21.1km and showcases some of the city’s best-known sights, including the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo Reserve, The Rocks and the Pyrmont Peninsula.

For the 2027 event, entries are open and the race is scheduled to return to Sydney on Sunday, 2 May 2027. The course is designed as a fast, scenic urban run, with the finish set in the city’s event village atmosphere at The Domain.
