IRONMAN 70.3 Sunshine Coast returns to Mooloolaba for a weekend of world-class triathlon action on Sunday, 13 September 2026. The event is based at Mooloolaba Beach on the Sunshine Coast, bringing athletes and supporters to one of Queensland’s most popular coastal destinations.

This half-distance triathlon features a 1.9km ocean swim, a 90km bike leg and a 21.1km run. The course is known for its beach start, fast riding and scenic coastal setting, with the run centred around the Mooloolaba foreshore and Esplanade.

Race weekend also includes IRONKIDS events for younger participants on the Saturday, helping create a lively, family-friendly atmosphere across the precinct.

With its relaxed beachside feel, strong spectator appeal and classic Sunshine Coast scenery, this event combines serious racing with a memorable holiday destination.
