About this event
The Kids Fun Run With Puffing Billy is a family-friendly running event held at Puffing Billy Railway Station in Gembrook, bringing children together for a lively day of fun, movement and community spirit. The event is run by the Rotary Club of Emerald and District and supports a local children’s charity, with proceeds for this edition going to Eastern Health.
Set for Sunday 29 November 2026, the event runs from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm and includes age-based fun runs for children, along with the chance to enjoy Puffing Billy Railway activities on the day. Train rides are available for those wanting to travel alongside the runners, and special joy rides are also scheduled, adding to the festive atmosphere.
This event is designed to be a fun, active outing for kids and families, combining outdoor exercise with a much-loved railway experience in the Dandenong Ranges. It is a popular community fundraiser that pairs a child-focused running program with a relaxed, welcoming day out.
