About this event

Set on the scenic shores of Lake Macquarie, this multi-sport festival is staged from Speers Point Park and offers a fast, flat course with calm lake waters, a closed-road cycle and a lakeside run. It is designed to be family friendly, with strong spectator viewing and improved athlete facilities that make race day easy to enjoy.

The programme includes a range of events to suit different ages and abilities, from junior triathlon options to sprint and standard distance races, plus aquathlon, aquabike and open water swim events. The standard triathlon features a 1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run, while the sprint distance covers a 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run.

Held in Speers Point, the event makes the most of Australia's largest saltwater lake, with protected swim conditions and a waterside setting that adds to the atmosphere. It is a popular summer race weekend that combines competitive racing with a relaxed lakeside backdrop.

Entries are scheduled to open on 1 July 2026.
