About this event
Lavender Gravel 300 is a fully supported three-stage cycling adventure through South Australia, covering more than 300 kilometres of gravel roads, backroads, rolling hills and rugged regional landscapes.
The 2027 event begins with check-in and a pre-ride briefing dinner in Murray Bridge on Friday 12 March. Riders then set out from the banks of the Murray River, travelling through the Murraylands, Adelaide Hills, Barossa and Mid North before finishing among the vineyards of the Clare Valley.
- Stage one: Murray Bridge to Mount Pleasant — 74 kilometres, passing through Rockleigh and the rolling countryside of the Adelaide Hills.
- Stage two: Mount Pleasant to Eudunda — approximately 117 kilometres and the longest stage of the event.
- Stage three: Eudunda to Clare — approximately 111 kilometres through quiet gravel roads, rolling farmland, Manoora and Inspiration Point.
Expect long days in the saddle, testing climbs, changing surfaces and remote country roads, with the route linking historic towns, open farmland and distinctive South Australian scenery. The ride is not a race, but it offers a genuine physical challenge for cyclists ready to take on three demanding stages.
Support includes luggage transfers, meals, accommodation arrangements, on-road assistance, and coach and bike transport between Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Clare. The adventure runs from 12 to 16 March 2027, with a final breakfast and return travel on Tuesday 16 March.
When the riding is complete, regional food, local wine and evening entertainment provide opportunities to relax and enjoy the communities and landscapes along the Lavender Cycling Trail.
