The Lorne Mountain to Surf Run on Friday, 9 January 2026 is an 8-kilometre fun run or walk starting from the heart of Lorne township along the Great Ocean Road and finishing at the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club.
The course begins with an uphill section through the stunning Otway forest ranges, leading to the St George River track. Participants then follow the river as it winds back toward the wild Southern Ocean, before returning to Lorne via the iconic Lorne Pier and scenic cliff track, culminating at the Surf Life Saving Club.
This annual event, organised by the dedicated volunteers of the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club, serves as a major fundraiser supporting the club’s community programs. It takes place the day before the renowned Pier to Pub ocean swim, offering a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.
