Mantra Beats brings ecstatic dance, devotional sound and electronic music to the Recital Hall at Kindred Studios in Yarraville on Saturday 5 December 2026, from 7pm to 10:15pm AEDT. This adults-only evening combines live vocals, a 22-string slide guitar and electronic soundscapes with a free-form dance session.
The evening opens with check-in and a welcome circle, followed by a live music performance, a short hydration break and an hour of humming, chanting and dancing. A closing circle finishes the gathering. There are no prescribed dance steps; participants can move and join the call-and-response mantras at their own comfort level.
This is a sober event, and entry is refused to anyone arriving under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The dance floor is a non-verbal space, with expressive sounds welcome. Participants are asked to respect one another’s personal space.
Bring water and a yoga mat; a jumper and cushion can also be useful. The sound and lighting setup includes lasers and strobes. Photos and short videos may be taken during the event. Book through the registration option on this listing.
