Welcome the new year with the MAWA New Year Run at Burswood Park on Sunday, 3 January 2027. Hosted by Masters Athletics WA, this morning event features timed road and park running or walking over two distances: 12 kilometres and 5 kilometres.

The run forms part of Masters Athletics WA’s year-round Sunday series, which includes road-running, walking and cross-country events. The shorter 5-kilometre option provides an accessible alternative to the main 12-kilometre event.

Members of Masters Athletics WA can participate free of charge, while visitors are welcome for a small fee. The club is open to men and women aged 30 years and over.
