Organiser: Maximum Adventure
The Max Adventure Race Series at Lake Macquarie, NSW, on Saturday, 14 February 2026, offers an exciting introduction to the dynamic sport of Adventure Racing.
Teams of two will engage in a fast-paced, non-stop race that challenges participants to alternate between three core disciplines: mountain biking, trail running, and kayaking. Throughout the event, team members must stay together and collaborate closely.
The race duration ranges from 2 to 6 hours depending on the chosen course and requires basic navigation skills. While all checkpoints are accessible via established tracks and paths, strategic cross-country travel may provide a faster route in some sections.
Additionally, the event features a dedicated Kids' Course for children aged 5 to 12 years, organized in teams of 2 to 5. This course includes trail running, mountain biking, and kayaking with simple navigation tailored for young participants.
