About this event

The Newcastle Marathon & Half Marathon returns to Newcastle, NSW, on Sunday, 19 April 2026.

Both races feature a completely flat, AIMS-certified course that showcases the scenic Newcastle City and Harbour Foreshore. The Marathon consists of four laps of a 10.55 km circuit, while the Half Marathon covers two laps of the same route.

Starting from The Station precinct (the former Newcastle Railway Station), runners will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with enthusiastic spectator support throughout the race, making for an unforgettable event.
