About this event
The Murray Bridge Running Festival is a road-running event held on Sunday, 1 November 2026, at Sturt Reserve beside the Murray River in Murray Bridge, South Australia.
Choose from the half marathon, 10km run or 5km run and walk, all held on a fully closed course that includes the iconic Murray Bridge. The half marathon covers 21.1km and has a three-hour time limit, while the 5km event includes a Halloween theme and a discount for children.
A free 1.5km Kids Dash gives younger participants their own chance to take part, with a briefing before the morning start. The event village is located near the playground and skate park, with the start line beside the town’s famous Bunyip.
All finishers receive a medal. The 2026 programme does not include a marathon distance because of construction works on the levee banks; the marathon is expected to return in 2027.
