MVP Backyard Ultra is a multi-day backyard ultra held at Brimbank Park in Keilor. The event begins on Friday, 5 February 2027, and is organised by TrailsPlus.
Runners complete a 6.7-kilometre course within each one-hour time limit. A new lap starts at the beginning of every hour, with participants returning to the start line for the next departure. The format rewards pacing, consistency and careful management rather than outright speed.
Participants can choose a fixed commitment of four, seven or 15 yards, or take on the open-ended format and continue hour after hour. In the open-ended event, runners who remain on course are tied for first place after each completed yard, with the challenge continuing until only one participant completes a yard.
Additional distance options associated with the event include 13.4 kilometres, 21.1 kilometres, 42.2 kilometres and 100 kilometres. The event is suitable for runners interested in a structured endurance challenge, whether they are testing the backyard ultra format over a set number of yards or aiming to see how long they can continue.
