The Noosa Summer Swim returns to Noosa Heads on Sunday, 21 February 2027, as part of a full weekend of ocean swimming and coastal activities.
Set against the relaxed beauty of Noosa’s coastline, the festival welcomes swimmers of all abilities, from juniors and first-time participants to experienced open-water athletes. The Sunday program features a range of events designed to suit different ages, confidence levels and fitness goals.
- Noosa 5.0: a 5-kilometre challenge for experienced ocean swimmers
- Noosa 3.0: a mid-distance event for swimmers seeking a longer challenge
- Noosa 2.0: an accessible distance for developing open-water swimmers
- Noosa 1.0: a 1-kilometre swim suitable for participants taking on their first ocean event or building confidence
- Junior Giants: a 300-metre event for younger swimmers
- Knockout Sprint Relay: a fast-paced relay format featuring short sprint rounds and head-to-head competition
The festival begins on Saturday with open-water clinics, offering participants the opportunity to refine their technique, receive guidance from experienced coaches and enjoy an additional swim before race day.
Race-day courses follow Noosa’s picturesque coastal waters, with swimmers surrounded by clear ocean, beachside spectators and the distinctive atmosphere of one of Queensland’s best-known seaside destinations. The event combines personal achievement with a supportive festival environment, making it suitable for solo competitors, families, swimming groups and friends.
Whether the goal is to complete a first kilometre, tackle a longer course, support a junior swimmer or compete in the energetic relay, the Noosa Summer Swim offers a memorable way to experience Noosa from the water. After the swim, participants can enjoy the beach, local dining and the relaxed holiday atmosphere of Noosa Heads.
