About this event
The North Curl Curl True Protein Ocean Swim is a 2km ocean swimming event held at North Curl Curl Beach on Saturday, 5 December 2026. The course begins and finishes on the sand near the surf lifesaving club and follows a triangular loop offshore, extending towards Dee Why before turning south and returning to the beach.
Swimmers can expect a well-marked course, rolling swell and panoramic views across Sydney’s Northern Beaches. North Curl Curl is a surf beach with a consistent break and moderate swell, making the swim suited to regular ocean swimmers aged 12 and over who are comfortable swimming in open water.
The event takes place alongside the True Protein 3 Points Challenge, a multi-stage swim-and-run event using beaches, cliffs and sand trails around the area. Water safety support for the ocean swim includes inflatable rescue boats, lifeguards and course marshals.
Registrations open from 6.45am, with online entries for the 2km swim closing at 10am. The swim is scheduled to start at 10.15am.
