About this event
Run Tasmania is a four-day trail running stage race that showcases some of Southern Tasmania’s most dramatic landscapes, with routes built around coastal tracks, forest trails and alpine terrain. The event is based around Hobart and the Tasman Peninsula and is scheduled for 25–28 November 2026.
Delivered by Rapid Ascent, the event offers two course options. The Devil Long Course is designed for experienced runners and covers daily stages of around 15 to 25 kilometres, while the Quoll Short Course provides a more accessible option at roughly 10 to 23 kilometres per day.
Across the four stages, participants can expect a varied mix of Tasmanian scenery, with the route taking in coastal trails around Kingston, the alpine environment of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, rainforest near Fortescue Bay, and the clifftop trails of Cape Raoul. The event is limited to 300 runners, creating a more intimate race atmosphere while helping to protect the natural environment.
Run Tasmania is a multi-day challenge that combines endurance, scenery and a strong sense of adventure, making it an appealing choice for trail runners who want to experience Tasmania’s wild places on foot.
