About this event

SAFE 100 invites people across Australia to walk or run 100km during November 2026 while raising funds for children, young people and families impacted by sexual abuse. The month-long virtual challenge is designed to fit around everyday life: participants can cover a little each day, plan longer weekend sessions or choose another approach that works for them.

Complete 100km your way

The challenge runs from 1 to 30 November 2026. Participants create a personal fundraising page, set a goal and share it with friends, family, workmates and their community. They can walk, run or combine both across locations of their choice. Anyone who cannot commit to the full 100km can choose a more suitable distance; every kilometre completed and every dollar raised still contributes to the campaign. Participants may take part individually or join with others as a team.

Supporting recovery without financial barriers

Funds raised support SAFE Supporting Abuse-Free Empowerment’s fully coordinated, multi-pathway recovery vision. SAFE aims to connect children, young people and families with the right support at the right time, including pathways through psychology, education, employment, sport, community support and other approved recovery options based on individual needs.

By joining SAFE 100, participants help reduce financial barriers that can stand between people affected by sexual abuse and the support they need as they move through recovery.

Free to join and fundraise

Participation is completely free, with no entry charge. After signing up, participants can set a fundraising goal and invite their networks to donate. There is no penalty if they do not reach 100km or their fundraising goal: SAFE 100 is centred on participation, awareness and collective impact.

Your SAFE supporter shirt

Participants who raise $150 receive a free SAFE supporter shirt to wear throughout the challenge. The $150 level is the first fundraising milestone, and participants are encouraged to continue raising funds if they can.

How to take part

  • Register and create a SAFE 100 fundraising page.
  • Choose the 100km target or another distance that suits you.
  • Walk or run throughout November and share your fundraising page.

Use the contact options on this event page to register or ask the organiser questions.
