About this event
SCADaddle for Research - Sunshine Coast is a community fundraiser supporting research into spontaneous coronary artery dissection, often known as SCAD. The event is a 5 kilometre walk or run designed to bring together survivors, families, friends and supporters for a shared cause.
Held on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, it is part of a wider annual SCADaddle series that takes place across Australia each October. The event encourages participants to walk, skip or run the course at their own pace, making it suitable for a broad range of ages and fitness levels. It is typically presented as both an awareness-raising event and a fundraising opportunity for medical research into SCAD.
Set for Sunday, 25 October 2026 in Warana, the event offers an active, family-friendly way to support a rare but serious heart condition that predominantly affects women.
