About this event
Shire Run Carnival is a community running event with a carnival atmosphere, held at Bonna Point Reserve in Kurnell. It caters for everyone from recreational walkers and runners through to more competitive participants, with a flat, fast foreshore course and water views along the Kurnell coastline.
The program includes a range of distances and formats, including a 10km run/walk, 6km and 3km events, a kids’ dash, an aquathlon and a triple challenge. The event is designed to suit a wide range of ages and abilities, with no course cut-off time for the shorter events and options for both runners and walkers.
Participants can expect a well-organised race-day setup with bib collection on site, timed results and age-category placegetters. The event also has a family-friendly feel, making it a popular choice for local clubs, school groups, work teams and social runners looking for an active day out in a scenic bayside setting.
The Shire Run Carnival also supports a charitable cause, adding a community-focused purpose to the day.
