The Shire Run Carnival & Aquathlon will be held on Saturday, 9 May 2026 at the scenic Kurnell Foreshore in Kurnell, NSW. This vibrant community event offers a festive carnival atmosphere and welcomes participants of all levels, from recreational walkers and runners to elite athletes.
The course features mostly sealed paths with grassy sections at the start and finish, with the start/finish area located at Bonna Point Reserve, providing picturesque water views throughout the route.
Participants can choose from multiple running and walking distances, including:
- 10 km (two laps)
- 6 km
- 3 km
- 1500 m Kids Dash (under 10 years)
- 400 m Dash
In addition to the running events, the carnival includes a Swim + Run Aquathlon consisting of a 1 km swim followed by a 5 km run. The Aquathlon can be completed individually or as a two-person team, with one swimmer and one runner.
