Silent Insight Meditation Retreat with Celia Roberts
January 2–11, 2026 | Upper Brookfield Sanctuary, Brisbane
5-Day or 10-Day Residential Options
Imagine beginning the new year surrounded by nature’s quiet beauty, far from the demands of everyday life. This silent retreat with Celia Roberts is an invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and immerse yourself in the stillness of your own mind and body.
Rooted in the Theravāda Buddhist forest tradition, the retreat focuses on cultivating samatha (calm abiding) and vipassanā (insight) meditation. In noble silence, you’ll gently let go of outer distractions and discover an inner spaciousness that restores clarity, compassion, and balance.
A Daily Rhythm of Presence
Each day is carefully structured to support deep practice, weaving together the four classical postures of mindfulness:
- Seated meditation — grounding in stillness and awareness
- Walking meditation — moving with intention and grace
- Standing meditation — embodying strength and presence
- Lying meditation (Yoga Nidra) — resting into conscious relaxation
Gentle yoga postures, Qi Gong, and mindful eating nourish the body and calm the mind, creating an embodied approach to contemplative practice.
Guidance from an Experienced Teacher
With over 25 years of immersion in meditation, yoga, and contemplative traditions — including Theravāda Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, Vedic Meditation, and the Chinese internal arts — Celia offers a steady, compassionate presence to support both beginners and experienced practitioners.
