About this event
Get set for an action-packed multisport challenge in Nerang on the Gold Coast, where teams of two tackle a navigation-based adventure race across bush trails, mountain bike tracks and a river section. The course is kept under wraps until race morning, when maps are issued and teams head out together to find checkpoints on foot, by bike and by kayak.
The event features a four-hour format with both Novice and Classic courses, making it suitable for newcomers as well as more experienced adventure racers. Kayaks, paddles and personal flotation devices are supplied as part of entry, and the race is designed to be completed by both team members staying together throughout.
Held in and around Nerang National Park and the surrounding trail network, the course makes use of scenic forest terrain, off-road tracks and waterways close to the Gold Coast. It is a fast-paced outdoor challenge that combines fitness, navigation and teamwork in a uniquely Queensland setting.
The event is described as open to a range of experience levels, with a course option that is generally shorter and more approachable, alongside a longer, more technical challenge for confident racers. Participants should be prepared for running or walking, mountain biking and paddling in a single race format.
