About this event
Join Australia's favourite fitness challenge and move 10,000 steps a day throughout September 2026. Steptember is a month-long fundraising challenge run by Cerebral Palsy Alliance — Australia's largest provider of services for people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions.
Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood, affecting around 1 in 700 babies born in Australia. It impacts movement, posture, and coordination, and there is currently no cure. Funds raised through Steptember go directly towards life-changing therapies, assistive technology, research, and support services for babies, children, and adults living with cerebral palsy and their families.
Since Steptember began, over 20 million Australians have taken part and raised over $89 million for Cerebral Palsy Alliance. In 2025 alone, 80,416 participants across 2,900 workplaces took a combined 17,282,986,818 steps and raised $6,926,211 — making an extraordinary collective impact.
The best part? You don't have to be a walker or runner to join. Any activity counts — Pilates, pickleball, cycling, swimming, or anything else can be converted into steps. Steptember is open to everyone and is a great way to get your workplace, family, or community moving together for a great cause.
Sign up for 2026, set your step goal, and give someone with cerebral palsy a better chance at an active, independent life.
