About this event
Cause
Human trafficking affects millions of people worldwide, particularly vulnerable women and children. The Stop Trafficking 5K is a free, global campaign created and managed by Captivating International to raise awareness and funds for programs that directly protect women and children from exploitation and trafficking. Since 2016, the community has raised over A$870,915 to support life-changing programs in Nepal and the Philippines — helping get girls back in school, preventing cybersex crimes, and supporting victims of violence through legal aid and community education.
What to Expect
Run or walk in August 2026 and choose a challenge that fits your level:
- Challenge 1: Run your first 5K — non-stop, start to finish
- Challenge 2: Run 50K across August
- Challenge 3: Set your own distance goal
Not a runner? Walking counts too. You can participate from anywhere in the world and move alongside thousands of participants during August. For added engagement, join the Stop Trafficking 5K Strava club to log your activity, see others participating, stay encouraged through monthly challenges, and invite friends to join you.
