Join the Weipa Running Festival, offering distances for all levels—from a 2.5km fun run to a full marathon.
The full and half marathons traverse stunning bush trails, beaches, and roads, famous for their corrugations and striking red dirt. Expect your shoes to return vibrantly red! Marathons can be tackled solo or in relay teams of 2 or 4, while half marathons offer solo or team-of-2 options.
Experience The Mission - Team Event, where teams of five—one runner per distance (marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km, 2.5km)—compete for the fastest combined time.
Based in Weipa, the perfect gateway to Cape adventures, pristine beaches, and untouched wilderness. A virtual race option runs from July 13–26, 2026.
