About this event
Wild Gravel 2026 brings gravel cycling, trail running and walking to the spectacular Stirling Range in Western Australia on Saturday 24 October 2026. Hosted by the Shire of Gnowangerup, the event offers a choice of challenges for experienced competitors, recreational participants and families, all centred around an event village and start-finish area on Stirling Range Drive.
Cycling events include the 420 km Ride Ultra, a 150 km race, 100 km and 95 km Untamed rides, plus 65 km, 30 km and 10 km options. The 10 km ride provides a family-friendly introduction to gravel riding, while the longer courses offer demanding endurance challenges through the rugged Great Southern landscape.
Runners can choose from a full marathon, half marathon, 21 km and 11 km trail runs, while the 5 km walk or run and 10 km walk or run provide accessible options for a broad range of abilities. The 2026 program also introduces the Untamed category, adding another way to experience the region by bike.
The event village is the hub of the day, with participants and spectators expected from 6.00 am and the first event scheduled to start at 7.00 am. The Stirling Range Drive site is approximately 400 km from Perth, with visitors advised to allow around five hours for the journey. Camping and accommodation options are available in the surrounding Stirling Range area, with limited local accommodation making early planning advisable.
