About this event

6 – 17 April 2026 | Kyoto, Kanazawa, Myoko Kogen, Nagano, Osaka

This retreat offers a rare and beautiful opportunity to deeply experience Japan’s spiritual heritage and Zen tradition, especially during the famous cherry blossom season. Over 11 days, you will immerse yourself in ancient temples, peaceful mountain lodges, and vibrant cities, gaining an authentic experience of Zen meditation, monastic life, and Japanese culture.

What makes this retreat truly special is that it is not just a simple tour but a spiritual pilgrimage. You will practice daily meditation alongside Zen monks, participate in traditional tea ceremonies, and visit sacred places rarely accessible to typical tourists.

Your guides, Celia Roberts and Leigh‑Ann Rohde, are experts in Japanese culture and Zen meditation. Celia, with over 20 years of experience in meditation teaching and several years of living in Japan, will guide you through this profound spiritual and cultural journey.

Everyone attending this retreat will have the opportunity to grow spiritually, cultivate mental peace, and discover the beauty of wabi-sabi and Zen philosophy, carrying these insights back into their daily lives.6 – 17 April 2026 | Kyoto, Kanazawa, Myoko Kogen, Nagano, Osaka
