Keep your sporting organisation’s registration system

PlayHQ describes registration, payments and competition tools. GameDay describes membership, registration and competition services. Your governing body or association may determine the process your club uses; adding a discovery listing does not require changing it.

PlayHQ also has a Discover registration journey. These tools can already help people find registration options. KeepActive serves as an additional route for people comparing activities before they know which club they want.

PlayHQ and GameDay have different public entry routes

For PlayHQ, the official registration guide describes starting with a registration form URL or the organisation’s open registration options on Discover. Check that your public link offers the correct season and programme before directing a new family there.

For GameDay, participant guidance directs people to obtain the registration link from their club or association. Use the public link your organisation supplies, rather than guessing a registration address or sending visitors to an administrator login.

If newcomers need a trial, grading conversation or placement before registering, direct them to your public club information page first. KeepActive explains that first step; the club’s chosen system still handles registration.

Before the season: explain the choice

Describe the age groups, training location, expected weekly commitment, social or competitive format and whether beginners can try a session before joining. Explain grading or team allocation in everyday language.

For a parent weighing several sports, a welcoming beginner programme with a workable training time may matter more than the sport originally searched for. Give enough detail to assess fit without assuming every age group has vacancies.

During and after the season: keep availability honest

Update your KeepActive listing when intakes close, teams fill or training changes. If membership is closed but enquiries for next season are welcome, say so rather than inviting people to turn up.

Keep member records, fees and competition administration in the established system. This public discovery workflow does not migrate data or automatically synchronise registration availability. For system support, use the relevant provider’s official help channels.

Take the next step

List your club

Keep managing bookings, members and registrations in your existing tools. Your public KeepActive listing helps newcomers decide whether the activity suits them and where to join.
