About the club
Diamond Valley Bushwalking Club is based in Eltham and brings people together to keep fit and enjoy the outdoors. Affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria, it offers walks for a range of fitness levels, from shorter outings to demanding bushwalks. Membership is open to adults aged 18 and over.
What to expect
Regular day walks run on Wednesdays and Sundays, exploring suburban parks, nearby mountains and Melbourne’s history. The programme also includes basecamps, cycling, social activities and occasional trips further afield. Walks are graded from easy to hard; choose an outing suited to your fitness, experience and equipment. Meeting places and times vary, and activities require online booking.
How to join
Register online as a prospective member to try the club free of charge. The new-member team will contact you to answer questions before you decide whether to apply for membership. An email address, internet-connected device and mobile phone for activities are required.
As checked in October 2026, standard membership costs $60 a year, with a $30 rate for eligible members of other affiliated clubs. The membership year runs from December to November, with joining arrangements depending on when you apply.
