Melbourne Social Walks - Hiking and Camping
Activity Details
A great way to meet new people in Melbourne especially for Travelers that are looking for new friends.
I’ve been organising these for years so I’ve learnt a thing or two on what makes a good social group. Engagement is everything. There are loads of hiking groups that exist in Victoria alone but rarely utilitised.
EVERY fortnight without fail there is a hike. New people are always welcome.

Thinking of hiking/bushwalking groups?
Social hiking or bushwalking groups can be organized by a variety of organizations, including local parks and recreation departments, hiking clubs, and online communities.
The benefits of joining a social hiking group are numerous. For one, it can provide a sense of community and motivation, as you have the support and encouragement of others to help you stick to your hiking routine. Hiking groups can also be a great way to meet new people and make new friends, especially if you are new to an area or looking to expand your social circle.
In terms of structure, social hiking groups can vary. Some groups may have a designated leader who plans the route and sets the pace, while others may be more informal, with participants simply showing up and hiking together. Some groups may meet on a regular basis, such as once a week, while others may be more sporadic.
