Description
Completed in the first half of 2017, Casey Stadium is one of the most prominent, state of the art and versatile indoor sporting venues throughout Victoria, servicing the forever expanding community of Casey and the broader South East Melbourne region.
The Centre features 10 full size FIBA Basketball and INF Netball courts, including equipment and line marking for the provision of additional indoor sports such as Badminton, Volleyball, Futsal and a range of alternative sporting and recreation activities to cater for the entire community’s needs.
A feature of the facility is the main show court hall, with spectator seating up to 1,500 people. This main hall has the versatility to host major national and international sporting events, competitions and championships whilst also being able to be converted into a theatrette configuration to host assembly’s, plays, musicals, rock eisteddfod, dances and other dramatic art performances as well as lectures and exams for the many school and community user groups that regularly access the facility.
The Facility also houses a Piazza style hub serviced by a fully equipped Café that provides full service catering to all the events and activities within the facility. The Piazza is the epi centre of the facility where patrons and the general public can utilise it as a meet and greet location or a place to relax and socialise whilst either watching family or friends participate in the many activities that the centre offers. Alternatively patrons can use it as a place to gather to enjoy great healthy food and beverages and outstanding coffee.
