"Now I don't feel like I'm the girl left sitting on the seat," she laughs. With each game, her confidence grows, and she relishes the opportunity to challenge herself and improve her game.

One of the most appealing aspects of pickleball, according to Eileen, is its accessibility. Unlike some sports that require significant financial investment, pickleball offers a low barrier to entry. Many clubs allow newcomers to play for free and provide equipment for loan, making it easy for anyone to give it a try.

But beyond the game itself, Eileen cherishes the sense of community that pickleball fosters. "Everybody in the pickleball community that I've had anything to do with is welcoming and encouraging," she says. Whether you're a seasoned player or a novice, the pickleball community is there to lift you up and support you every step of the way.

And the beauty of pickleball lies in its inclusivity. Players of all ages and backgrounds come together on the court, united by their love for the game.
