One of the most appealing aspects of pickleball, according to Eileen, is its accessibility. Unlike some sports that require significant financial investment, pickleball offers a low barrier to entry. Many clubs allow newcomers to play for free and provide equipment for loan, making it easy for anyone to give it a try.

But beyond the game itself, Eileen cherishes the sense of community that pickleball fosters. "Everybody in the pickleball community that I've had anything to do with is welcoming and encouraging," she says.
