About this event
The Busselton Jetty Swim is a renowned open-water swimming event held across two days in February, centred on Busselton’s iconic jetty and foreshore. The 2027 event is scheduled for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February, with swimming, family activities and entertainment creating a lively community atmosphere.
The signature challenge is the 3.6km swim around the jetty, offering a demanding course in open water with the historic timber structure as its centrepiece. Swimmers can also take on the One Mile Swim to Shore, beginning at the end of the jetty and finishing 1.6km later at the shore.
Alternative formats make the event accessible to a wide range of participants. The 3.6km course can be completed as a team of two or four, while Simon’s 500m Shortcut Swim allows participants to swim beneath the jetty. A dedicated Kids Swim provides a shorter option for younger swimmers.
The event weekend extends beyond the races, with free family activities and games on the foreshore, event presentations and entertainment. Whether competing solo, joining a relay-style team or cheering from the shore, visitors can enjoy one of Western Australia’s best-known ocean swimming events in the heart of Busselton.
