About this event
IRONMAN Western Australia and IRONMAN 70.3 Western Australia return to Busselton on Sunday, 6 December 2026, bringing a major endurance-racing double-header to the Busselton Foreshore.
The event features full-distance and middle-distance triathlon races, with competitors swimming in the calm waters of Geographe Bay before tackling a predominantly flat cycling and running course through the Busselton area. The course profile is designed to support both first-time participants and athletes pursuing a fast finish.
IRONMAN Western Australia forms part of the Asia-Pacific championship series and serves as a national qualifier, adding significance for athletes competing for qualification opportunities. IRONMAN 70.3 Western Australia offers a shorter alternative while retaining the challenge of open-water swimming, cycling and running.
The programme also includes IRONKIDS, giving younger participants the opportunity to take part in a fun run-style event and experience the atmosphere of race day.
