About this event
Clayton Shred offers two free skateboarding lessons on Monday 2 November 2026 at the relocated Clayton Plaza Skatepark beside Clayton Station. The skatepark has moved about 300 metres from its former site. Shredability delivers the lessons with support from the Suburban Rail Loop.
- Mixed beginners: 4:30pm–5:30pm AEDT.
- Girls: 5:40pm–6:40pm AEDT.
The lessons welcome beginners of all ages, including adults, although most participants are children. Children are normally over five; younger children can take part with a parent helping.
A limited supply of skateboards and helmets is available to borrow. Bring your own board and helmet if you have them. Coaches are trained by the Australian Skateboarding Federation and hold Working with Children Checks.
Participation is free, with a separate ticket required for each person. Use the event’s registration option to book the mixed beginner lesson; the girls’ lesson has its own booking on the organiser’s event list. Tickets must be booked individually. Complete the organiser’s waiver before attending and arrive ten minutes before your lesson.
Lessons may be postponed or cancelled in wet weather, with updates sent to the email used for booking.
Please mention you found this event via KeepActive when contacting the organiser — thank you for your support!
