About this event

Try dragon boating on the Cooks River with ACCA Dragon Boat Racing Team at a beginner-focused open day in Wolli Creek. This free session is for people who want a fitness challenge beyond run clubs or the gym, with a welcoming team environment and time on the water.

A Beginner Session on the Water

The open day gives newcomers a dedicated introduction to dragon boating with one of Australia's competitive racing teams. Participants can expect up to 1.5 hours of paddling, a chance to learn the basics of the sport and time to meet people in the ACCA community.

Who It Suits

ACCA is recruiting people aged 17 and over, including adults from a range of athletic backgrounds. The session is designed for beginners, so it suits people who are curious about dragon boating and want to try a team-based water sport before committing to regular training.
